Creating the perfect cake is something we love, but we offer a variety of dessert options that will look beautiful on your table. Call us to set up a consultation- here's more about ordering and delivery for your special event.
Delivery Information
We offer delivery for orders over $250. The delivery charge is $1.25 per mile, to and from Blue Cake Bowman. Cakes that have longer set up, due to design or delivery site, may incur extra charges. Don't worry, we will be happy to discuss these details with you prior to your event.
Cake deliveries are generally 2-3 hours before the start of the event/ reception. It takes us anywhere from 15 minutes to 1 hour to set up, depending on how much work needs to be completed on site. We are not liable for any issues that arise from the cake sitting out for longer than our recommended time.
Cake Stands and Decorations
Glass stands are included in the price of any wedding cake. We do require a $75 deposit check, which we hold and return when the stand comes back. If you would rather not have a stand, the cake can be placed on a nicely wrapped board that is suitable for presentation on its own. If you are supplying the stand, please let us know the dimensions and style, so we can make the appropriate adjustments.
We are happy to set up the cake, arrange any floral decorations on your cake or arrange desserts on platters or stands upon delivery- please let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly.
Cancellations
We understand changes in your life can cause changes in your plans. If you need to cancel or postpone an order, please let us know at least 2 weeks in advance for weddings and 48 hours for general celebration cakes to receive a refund (minus pre-made specialty decor charges). Cancellations after the grace period is up to the discretion of store managers.
Deposits
We recommend that you reserve your date as soon as you decide. For busy months, such as May and June (or October!), you should book 6-9 months in advance (the sooner the better!) A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your date. You can secure your date as early as you like. The design and flavors can be decided anytime after that at your convenience, as long as everything is finalized 2-3 weeks before your wedding.

To decide how much cake you need, we recommend planning on ordering for 60% - 70% of the number of guests you’ve invited. Depending on how much food and drink you will be serving at your reception, we recommend that you have at least one serving per person between your wedding and grooms cake, plus a little more. For a light afternoon reception, you may want to increase that to one and a half serving per person. For a late reception, with an open bar and lots of food, you may not need as much!
Outdoor
Receptions
Let us know if you will be having an outdoor reception. We recommend your treats be kept indoors during hotter days. Sun and heat can melt frosting and make your items unstable. If you do need to have your cake outdoors, then keep in mind the cake will need to be covered in fondant or non-dairy whipped icing, which is more stable in hot weather. Cakes displayed outdoors cannot be filled with mousses, fruit, or other heat sensitive fillings. We are not responsible for any melting, damage, etc. to a cake displayed outdoors.
In order to make sure you have the best experience possible, we will deliver 1 hour prior to an outdoor event.
Cake Tastings
Interested in what your dream cake tastes like? Good news! We can set you up an appointment to try it out. All tastings are complimentary for weddings and special events for over 75 people. To set up a cake tasting, please call us at 501-868-7771. We prepare a variety of cakes, fillings, and frostings for you to try. If you would like to try a specific flavor, just let us know! We hold our tastings Tuesdays-Thursdays from 12-5pm by appointment for up to 4 people.
To make the most of your time, please know the following before your tasting: Date & Time of Reception. Number of Guests. Colors being used. Budget. Style of Cake (pictures of cakes you like are helpful. search the internet and magazines for ideas)
If you are unable to come to our regular tasting appointment times, you can order a box of samples to pick up during regular business hours. While we don’t always have time for a full consultation, we will do our best to answer questions you may have when you pick up your samples.
