Fall Classes at the Blue Cake Company!

  
Mini Floral Cupcakes:  Learn to mix and bake cupcakes from scratch and decorate with buttercream and fondant flowers.  We will cover the creaming method as well as recipe variations and some simple floral decorations.  The clas will be a combination of observation and hands on.  All supplies are included and recipes will be provided.  Each person will take home 20 mini cupcakes.  Price per person is $50.  Class will be Tuesday October 19 from 6pm-8pm.
 
Beginning Fondant Class:  Learn to fill, frost and fondant a 6″ round birthday cake and decorate with diamonds, polka dots and rolled roses.  Top it off with a fondant candle.  We will also cover coloring fondant and using molds.  All supplies are included and recipes will be provided.  Each person will take home a 6″ cake.  Price per person is $65. Class will be October 26 from 6-8pm.
 
Scuplted Purse Class:  Learn to carve cake and create a designer purse.  We will cover scaling, carving, covering with fondant as well as working with modelling chocolate and using a variety of modelling tools.  All supplies are included and each person will take home a cake that serves 12-15pp.  Price per person is $75.  Class will be November 9 from 6-8pm.  This class does have a tendency to run a little late.
 
Tiered Present Cake Class:  Each student will fill, frost and fondant a 4″ and 8″ square tier and decorate with a present theme.  We will demonstrate a variety of bows and tags to personalize the gifts.  We will cover fondant coloring and covering, bow making, dowelling and travelling with tiered cakes.  We will also cover figure modelling and make a figure for our cake.  This is a two day class and will be Tuesday November 16 (filling cakes and making decorations) -Wednsday November 17 (Fondanting and decorating cakes) from 6-7:30pm.  Price per person is $100.
